Raum left the venue which was called Discoteque before, and started managing what was on the other hand called ''Kanna Beach'' last summer, to become GHOA BEACH CLUB now and host the Desolat Experience, Cocoon Barcelona, Cadenza, a pool party on Sunday and finishing with Nick Curly, Johny D, Lemos, Kreon in a Cecille Records party.



This year's Sonar for me will be quite short as I just came back to work and I will enjoy just the weekend of it.



I will attend the Beatport and Watergate Secret Villa Party promoted by WIP, with Dubfire, Matthew Jonson, Heidiu, Jesse Rose, dOP, Marco Resmann and those surprise guests on Friday afternoon till 10. Party's announced to start at 12:00pm till 10pm, but as I will be at the Nike event from Tarragona, I will jump right into the party late afternoon. Admition is limited invitation only, that's why I really think this one will work pretty good, having in mind also where the villa is and the line up. Stay tuned for pics and videos!






After the Villa Party I will try to jump for couple of hours at the beach at Sci+tec vs Hideout at Mac Arena Beach Club. It's also a place which Macarena managment is opening right for Sonar and the event starts at 4pm until 2am. There's nothing better than a beach party at Sonar, so I guess we will join a bit before before its end. Music by: Dubfire (again), Luca Bacchetti, Davide Squillace and Carola Pisaturo.




Then I think I'll be off for the night, although many people won't and won't even sleep.

Saturday my event will be Cadenza at Goa Beach with Luciano, Reboot, Robert Dietz, Cesar Merveille, Ernesto Ferreyra and Dani Casarano starting 4pm and finishing 6am. The new look of the venue is pretty promising. Stay tuuuned!

This week's presenting with a new challenge apart from reading and deleting the almost 3000 work emails in Outlook. This Thursday all Nike Iberia (Spain and Portugal) employees and managers are gathering at this spa hotel in Tarragona, to celebrate 20 YEARS Nike Spain. We're going to spend there one night and the dress code of the evening dinner party is the 70's.

So, after being off from work for 6 weeks after having a little nerve burnt in my heart (for second time), doctors say I could go back to work soon, and the final confirmation will be given tomorrow. But tomorrow is a big day also for something else - I'm having my italian classes final exam, and I will probably get my diploma if I do good. Italy, italian language, italian cuisine, the spirit of the country...all this have been my passion forever and I've always wanted to speak this magical language which makes me stay hypnotized while I listen to it. With a little help and push from my man I signed the course last October, and here I am kinda parlo l'italiano! Next course will be Japanese, but before that I will concentrate on my fashion styling studies in IED.
Another new thing going on is Tai Chi, which I started to attend yesterday. Being at home for so long, and basically quite alone as my man has been travelling for almost the whole past month (and still missing in action), made me sign at this place and start attending the classes. Yesterday I bumped into a super pro class where I had to do all the 80 movements, and basically I was spinning around watching what others do, but today's one was more successful and I almost learned the first and second movements.
It is a great thing, where you combine breathing in a harmony with these movements of the body. Really loving it, gives peace and once you learn all of them, you can practice in the nature, on the beach...Stay tuned for progress!
Next week if I'm lucky and back to work, I will attend the celebration of Nike's 20 years in Spain in Tarragona. An event organized for the whole company in Spain and Portugal for 2 days off from the city.
Sonar is just a week from now, and so many friends are coming from all over the world for the best week of music in Europe (for me).
A change of the living spot is also popping up on the horizon soon and who knows what else.....

He won the top prize for Womenswear designer of the year. Other prizes were given to David Naville and Marcus Wainwright for Menswear designer of the year for Rag & Bone, Alexis Bittar for Accessory designer of the year.

Swarovski Awards were given to Alexander Wang and Jason Wu. And the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement presented to Michael Kors by the most powerful women in fashion world in the states - Anna Wintour, editor chief of Vogue America.

The board of directors special tribute award was given to Alexander McQueen by my role model in fashion - Sarah Jessica Parker for his contribution for international fashion.

And Christopher Bailey (somehow my ex boss) took the International Award presented by Donna Karan.

CFDA aka Council of Fashion designers of America is a non-for-profit organization raising funds for charitable causes. Consists in more of 350 american designers of apparel, accessories and jewelry. Every year, nominations for each award category are submitted by the CFDA membership and select fashion retailers, press, and stylists, and ratified by the CFDA Board of Directors. Awards nominees are voted on and announced at the CFDA Fashion Awards gala event.
They're hosting the annual Fashion Awards and between hundreds of participants, this is how this year's nominee list looks like:

Many of you wouldn't know, but today we're celebrating the World Environmental Day. Many videos like the one I'm posting have been made, and seems that they don't really have any influence under what world is turning to, except for the goosebumps and feeling they give during these 2 minutes.
Where is it going to end, I'm quite often lately asking myself...

Swarovski commssioned 5 artists at Milan Design Week 2010 to apply their own respective take on the famous ornamental crystal brand. Tokujin Yoshioka, Gwenaël Nicolas, Vincent van Duysen, Rogier van der Heide and Yves Béhar worked separately to re-design a room to reflect the beauty of palaces around the world. I would personally die if I saw these live, but I appreciate the work and beauty even just on pictures. Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka’s interpretation is named Stellar and featured an LED infused ball of crystals. Gwenaël Nicolas used LEDs to create a free-floating spherical ball. Rogier van der Heide created the Dream Cloud with crystals hanging from above a tulip garden. Vincent van Duysen created the illusion of a room full of crystal encrusted rods. Yves Béhar and his Amplified room which looked to unite technology and Swarovski crystals through a simple medium resulting in paper lanterns with crystals positioned within, each reflecting light against the lantern body. 
I've always been a big fan of Swarovski, and have some pieces myself. And the fact that they're expanding every day with the power of light shows enough for the success of the company. 
We've seen the crystals everywhere: besides the amazing jewelry they're decoration phones, dresses, underwear, furniture, watches, figures, and whatever you can think of.

Luckily Barcelona's hosting quite some good artists this summer, and I'm super happy I will be able to listen live to some of my fave artists very soon.
Tickets for Alicia Keys concert tomorrow though disappeared on the first month they announced the concert, but having Kings of Convenience, and Erykah Badu on the 14th of July presenting her new A-M-A-Z-I-N-G album New Amerykah Part II makes it up for me.

So as I said in my previous post, that summer is knocking, I decided to freshen up a bit also the blog layout. Changes are that all the labels are categorized and visible on the right side bar, where you can also find the option to see the ''About Me'' section and ''Blog Archive''. Coolest thing is that there's a Search panel incorporated, and also the width has been expanded. I'm really enjoying it, hope you do, too!
